Sport Relief was back and this time for a whole week, 17th – 23rd March 2018!!
All week we had activities going on around the world in support of Sport Relief!
Roadshows took place at Heathrow’s Crew Report Centre daily where colleagues had the opportunity to take part in fun sporting activities and collect their Sport Relief merchandise for their flights.
Sporting activities took place at Heathrow Terminal 3, Terminal 5 and Gatwick South Terminal for colleagues and customers to take part in some fun sports day activities.
In the air, three flyathons took place to Newcastle, Edinburgh and Aberdeen, where Strictly Come Dancing took to the skies, providing a danceathon in flight.
‘It’s a Knock Out’ came to Waterside Parklands! 20 teams battled it out in giant costumes on huge inflatables soaking wet slides, wacky relay races and enough foam to fill a bubble factory!
It was not just colleagues in the UK getting involved in the Sport Relief spirit – The Lagos team held an Inter-Team Sport Relief Competition, Team Mumbai organised a Charity Cricket Match, Team Singapore had a Easter Fun Day and Team Bulgaria organised a mountain hike AND MANY MORE activities took place around the world!
We would like to say a massive thank you to all colleagues and customers getting involved in the fundraising events during Sport Relief week, through out the year and all the on-board donations.
WE ARE PROUD TO SAY BRITISH AIRWAYS RAISED AN INCREDIBLE – £3,023,922 FOR SPORT RELIEF!
