Thank you to everyone who got involved in Red Nose Day 2017 for Flying Start! This was our furthest-reaching campaign to date, with bases throughout the UK and across the world dancing, dressing up and baking cakes to raise funds to help vulnerable children supported through Comic Relief projects.
We saw football shirts swapped in Manchester; the Red Hot Chilli Pipers in Glasgow; fancy dress in Aberdeen; met Alan Shearer in Newcastle and held a 12 hour dance-a-thon in Jersey! We also held bake sales, fancy dress contests and gave out countless deely boppers and red noses for our cabin crew to wear on their flights whilst doing the Flying Start PA.
In London we held raffles, danced with Chico, and took selfies with Michael Jackson in the terminals, at Waterside and our other bases in the area.
Outside of the UK, colleagues from South America, Asia and Africa engaged with the Red Nose Day activities, receiving packages full of noses, posters and other goodies to decorate their areas. We’ve loved hearing about all the events you have organised for Red Nose Day; you can check out the photos from all of the areas that were involved this year on our Red Nose Day 2017 Yammer page Your Laugh Matters.
62 bases around the world were involved in the Red Nose Day celebrations, our highest ever engagement! We hope you all enjoyed taking part in the activities, and look forward to seeing you for Sport Relief next year.
Look out for our Red Nose Day USA campaign in May, which will reach a further 15 areas!
